Local St. Patrick’s Day Happenings….

Grab your green and Go Irish!

With St. Patrick’s Day upon us, here are a few Irish happenings in and around Los Angeles for the local readers.

South Bay St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, March 17, 11am – annual parade in Hermosa Beach.  The intersection of Pier and Valley drive, west to Hermosa Ave. then south on Hermosa to 9th Street.  The festival will be at the pier.

St. Patrick’s Day at L.A. Live, March 17, 3-8pm – Live Irish music and beer at Nokia Plaza in downtown Los Angeles.

Shamrock ‘n’ Roll Aboard the Queen Mary, March 17, 6pm to midnight – an all-ages celebration on the Queen Mary featuring three simultaneous concerts at different venues aboard the ship.

Vox Femina From Shakespeare to Shamrocks, March 17, 6pm to midnight – celebrate the many traditions of England, Scotland and Ireland at this bi-cultural evening of classic Shakespeare sonnets and authentic Irish music.  Happening at the Colburn School on South Grand Ave.

OC marketplace St. Patrick’s Day Festival, March 17, 9am – 3:30pm – to mark the festivities, there will be Irish Dancers and musicians during the weekly swap meet.

St. Patrick’s Day Festival at One Colorado in Pasadena, March 17, 11am – 8pm – A St. Patrick’s Day festival with children’s crafts, Irish dancers and live music at the shopping and entertainment complex.

There are also many Irish Pubs and restaurants in the area with live music and plenty green beer to celebrate.
